Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how JETRBE, LLC d/b/a JeterBee (“JeterBee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information in connection with jeterbee.com, the JeterBee customer portal, customer onboarding, and JeterBee fully managed Training-as-a-Service (collectively, the “Services”). This Notice describes our privacy practices; it is not itself a service-level or data-retention guarantee for a particular training engagement.
1. Key privacy commitments
Customer training materials are used to provide the customer’s service. We do not use a customer’s non-public datasets, model files, prompts, API inputs, or other training materials to train a general-purpose JeterBee model for unrelated customers unless that customer expressly opts in or agrees in writing.
Customer control. Access, correction, export, deletion, and retention of account information and Customer Materials are provided as required by applicable law and any applicable Order or data-processing addendum.
Training requires retention during the engagement. Unlike stateless inference, training, checkpointing, validation, recovery, and delivery require JeterBee to retain and process Customer Materials for the period necessary to perform the engagement and for any additional period agreed in the applicable Order.
2. What is personal information?
“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked with an individual or household, where that concept is defined by applicable privacy law.
3. Information you provide to us
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
Contact and business information. Name, company, title, business address, telephone number, email address, and communications preferences.
Account and authentication information. Username, email, organization membership, role, authentication status, security settings, and related account records. Authentication credentials may be handled by an identity provider rather than stored directly by JeterBee.
Commercial and billing information. Quotes, Orders, invoices, payment status, billing contacts, tax information, and transaction records. Payment credentials may be collected and processed by a third-party payment provider.
Customer Materials. Datasets, model files, checkpoints, prompts, code, configuration, evaluation material, and other content submitted for an engagement. Customer Materials may contain personal information depending on what the customer provides.
Support and communications. Information included in emails, support requests, onboarding forms, feedback, and other communications with us.
4. Information collected automatically
When you use our websites, portal, or APIs, we and our service providers may collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, timestamps, requested pages or endpoints, authentication events, error logs, security events, and other operational metadata. We use this information to provide, secure, troubleshoot, monitor, and improve the Services.
5. Information from other sources
We may receive information from your employer or organization, identity providers, payment processors, cloud and security providers, business partners you direct us to work with, and publicly available sources. Information received from an identity provider depends on that provider, your organization’s configuration, and the permissions you authorize.
6. How we use information
We use personal information and other information to: provide and administer the Services; authenticate users and manage organizations; prepare quotes and Orders; perform model-training engagements; validate, checkpoint, secure, and deliver artifacts; process invoices and payments; communicate with customers; provide support; prevent abuse and fraud; maintain records; comply with law; enforce agreements; protect JeterBee, customers, and others; and improve our customer experience and business operations.
7. How we handle Customer Materials
Customer Materials are processed to perform the requested engagement, including intake, security screening, transformation where agreed, training, checkpointing, validation, recovery, storage, and delivery. We do not sell Customer Materials. We do not use non-public Customer Materials to train a general-purpose JeterBee model for unrelated customers without express customer authorization.
Customer Materials may be accessed by authorized JeterBee personnel and approved service providers only as reasonably necessary for the engagement, security, support, legal compliance, or other purposes described in the applicable Order. More restrictive access, retention, residency, or deletion requirements must be stated in the applicable Order or data-processing addendum.
8. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to service providers and contractors that help us provide hosting, infrastructure, identity and access management, networking, security, communications, customer support, analytics, storage, billing, payment processing, legal, accounting, and other business functions. Those providers may process information on our behalf subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.
We may also disclose information to your organization’s authorized administrators; at your direction; to professional advisers; to comply with law or valid legal process; to investigate fraud or security incidents; to protect rights, safety, and property; or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets.
9. Sale and targeted advertising
JeterBee does not sell Customer Materials. JeterBee does not currently sell personal information for monetary consideration. If our practices change in a way that creates additional rights under applicable privacy laws, we will update this Notice and provide required choices.
10. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, security, preferences, site operation, and analytics. Third-party identity, payment, hosting, and security providers may set or read cookies as part of their services. Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice or consent mechanisms for non-essential cookies.
11. Data security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission, storage, or security control is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Customers should use only approved intake and delivery channels for sensitive materials and should promptly notify JeterBee of suspected account compromise or unauthorized disclosure.
12. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, perform contracts, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal obligations. Training engagements may require retention of datasets, model files, and checkpoints during the engagement. Any specific post-engagement retention or deletion period is governed by the applicable Order or data-processing addendum.
13. International processing
JeterBee is a U.S.-based business. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where JeterBee or its approved service providers operate. Where applicable law requires a transfer mechanism or additional safeguards, JeterBee will use an appropriate mechanism as required for the relevant processing.
14. Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access to or information about personal information we hold about you; request correction or deletion; receive a portable copy; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or appeal a decision on a privacy request. These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions.
We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. If your account is administered by your employer or another customer organization, we may direct certain requests to that organization or coordinate with it as appropriate.
15. U.S. state privacy disclosures
For residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, the categories of information we may collect include identifiers, commercial information, internet or network activity, professional information, account credentials, and information contained in Customer Materials. We use and disclose these categories for the business purposes described in this Notice. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising.
16. Children
The Services are designed for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children through the JeterBee business website or customer portal. Customers are responsible for ensuring that datasets they provide are lawfully collected and suitable for the requested processing.
17. Third-party websites and services
The Services may link to or interoperate with third-party services that JeterBee does not own or control. Those third parties process information under their own terms and privacy notices when acting independently of JeterBee. We encourage you to review those notices.
18. Changes to this Privacy Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law.
19. Contact us
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@jeterbee.com. Training signup and secure intake should begin in the Customer Portal. Non-intake general questions may be submitted through the Contact Us form.
Legal review: This Privacy Notice should be reviewed by JeterBee’s attorney before production use and updated to match the final portal, identity provider, payment processor, analytics choices, data-processing addendum, and actual retention practices.
